Our story

A small studio for people who want a calmer week.

We opened our doors on Broadway in 2014 with a simple idea: that mindfulness coaching should feel like a conversation with a thoughtful friend who happens to be very good at listening — and very practical about what to do next.

What we believe

Four values that shape every session

We keep our list short on purpose. These are the things we will not compromise on.

Genuine listening

Sessions begin with a slow, unrushed check-in. The plan adapts to what you bring that day.

Honest pacing

We never sell a program longer than you need. Progress should feel sustainable, not heroic.

Evidence informed

Our coaches study the research behind contemplative practice and translate it into plain language.

Quiet confidentiality

Notes stay between you and your coach. We follow strict internal privacy policies.

A short timeline

How the studio grew

Slow, intentional steps over more than a decade.

2014Founded above a bookshop

Our first studio held six chairs and a lot of plants.

2017Moved to 291 Broadway

A bigger room, the same approach. Group circles began.

2021Online sessions added

We started offering quiet video sessions for clients away from the city.

2025Coach training program

We began mentoring new practitioners through a small apprenticeship path.
